What is Codemeter?

CodeMeter is a state-of-the-art copy protection system used by software vendors around the world. It is used to ensure that software is licensed and authorized to run on a computer.

What exactly does it do?

• CodeMeter handles the actual cryptography and checking of licenses

For your plugins to work properly, this application must be running in the background. Note that this is a lightweight application that places little or no demands on your computer and stores all information locally (no personal data is transmitted to the cloud).

Do I need Internet access?

Internet access is only required at the time of authorization. Once authorization is successfully completed, you can disconnect your computer from the Internet and still use our plugins.

Can I activate my Licence on a second computer?

Yes. You can use your Rhodes software licence to activate up to three devices

What taxes do I have to pay on Rhodes Software?

We are required to charge VAT on UK software services into the EU under the Non-Union OSS scheme.
VAT is included in the price you pay at checkout, and you will pay VAT at your countries rate, and then we will pay it across to the local authority in our VAT returns.

Can I get a refund on my Rhodes software purchase?

If you bought a Rhodes software license and have yet to download, activate or authorise the product, and it’s been less than seven days since your order was accepted, you can receive a refund for any reason.

Please note that if you choose to download, activate, or authorise the product within seven days of purchase, you will not be eligible for a refund.

How do I install updates?

Check that you are running the latest version of your Rhodes plugin, by referring to the plugins version history tab above.
Install the latest version of the plugin through the plugin download page.
Please do not uninstall the previous version of the plugin.
The installer will override the old files in their respective location.

What should I do if I encounter a bug?

Please email hello@rhodesmusic.com with as much information as you have about the issue. Please include audio examples and screenshots where possible. Please also provide the following information:

My installation keeps failing, what should I do?

Firstly, please ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements for the plugin you are downloading

If your computer meets the requirements:

• Delete the download file completely from your system.
• Clear your web browser’s cache
• Redownload your plugin

Additionally, a stable internet connection is essential. A dropout in internet connection during the download can corrupt the file deeming it unusable.

The WURLITZER by Rhodes is a beautiful, deeply musical plugin that faithfully captures the unmistakable character of the 200A reed-based electric piano. Sampled by our expert team and powered by the acclaimed Rhodes Anthology engine, WURLITZER by Rhodes delivers expressive, dynamic tone through a clean and intuitive interface, packed with in-demand sound-shaping tools.

Is the Rhodes WURLITZER standalone?

Currently, the WURLITZER cannot be used as a standalone plugin and requires a host DAW to function.

Can I control the WURLITZER with my MIDI Controller?

Yes, right-click a parameter and select ‘Learn’ from MIDI CC. Move any CC control knob on your MIDI controller, or engage your expression pedal, and it will now control that parameter.

How do I install the WURLITZER?

To install the WURLITZER once downloaded onto your system, start by running the setup file [.pkg Installer file on Mac; EXE file on Windows]. From here, complete the installation process, referring to the End User License Agreement and selecting your installation location if preferred. Select the installation packages required, and the Rhodes Anthology installer will install the necessary files in multiple locations.

How do I uninstall the WURLITZER?

Removal on macOS:

Close your DAW
Manually delete the Rhodes plug-in files in the following locations (make sure you can see hidden files and folders on your system):
/Library/Application Support/Rhodes/Rhodes Wurli
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Rhodes Wurli.component
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Rhodes/Rhodes Wurli.vst
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Rhodes Wurli.vst3
/Library/Application/Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/Rhodes Wurli.aaxplugin

Note: ‘Macintosh HD:/Users/USERNAME’ can be abbreviated as ‘~’. Also, ‘Macintosh HD’ is system-dependent and is not part of the actual path.
If you are using custom locations for your files, like for example the plugin content (.blob), please check your custom folders and remove the files manually.
Restart your Mac.

CodeMeter

Open the Support & Downloads section of the Wibu-Systems website and download the CodeMeter User Runtime file.
Open the downloaded CmRuntimeUser*.dmg disk image.
Start the program CmUninstall.
Follow the instructions of the wizard.
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Rhodes/Rhodes Wurli.vst

Caution: CodeMeter is also used by other software that you might have installed on your computer. Removing CodeMeter will remove any associated licenses.

Removal on Windows

Close your DAW
Go to Windows settings > Apps > Installed apps
Search for “Rhodes”
Click on the meatballs menu (the three tiny dots)
Click uninstall on the WURLITZER by Rhodes file and follow the instructions.
You can also find the uninstaller here: %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Program Files\Rhodes\
If you are using custom locations for your VST files (.dll) or the plugin content files (.blob), please check your custom folders and remove the files manually

Also check if there are any Rhodes files left in the following default locations (make sure you can see hidden files and folders on your system):

VST2 %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Program Files\VSTPlugIns\Rhodes\
VST3 %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

AAX %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\PlugIns\
You can delete the whole Rhodes plug-in folder (show hidden files must be enabled)
If you created custom user-presets and want to keep them, please move the folder somewhere else.
Start your DAW after uninstalling and check whether the respective plugin appears in the plug-in list (it shouldn’t)
Restart your computer

Codemeter

Select the “Software” option in the Windows System control panel menu item. Note: If CodeMeter has been installed together with another software, CodeMeter is not displayed in “Control Panel | Software”. In this case, you must uninstall all other software applications which have CodeMeter installed.
Select the “CodeMeter Runtime Kit” item and the “Remove” option. Please note that the files of the CodeMeter Runtime Kit are removed only after the final application that has installed or is using CodeMeter is also uninstalled.

How do I install updates?

Please do not uninstall the previous version of the plugin. The installer will override the old files in their respective location.
